Rozvoj norsko-české spolupráce v oblasti podpory znevýhodněných dětí

The project is aimed at strengthening the cooperation with the child psychiatric centre Østbytunet, which will enable the planning of a project plan for the joint development of an educational programme for teachers. The project is supported by the OSF Foundation within the Active Citizens Fund programme of the Czech Republic, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants.

About the project

International cooperation

At SOFA we have been developing international cooperation for a long time, enabling us to transfer to the Czech education system. The project targets Strengthening non-profit organisations and is primarily aimed at strengthening the cooperation of children's
psychiatric centre Østbytunet and SOFA, making it possible to plan a project project plan for the joint development of a training programme for teachers. At the same time, it will be strengthened the co-operation of both project partners and other NGOs through a publicly accessible conference.

Trauma respectful approach

SOFA and Østbytunet have long been developing important elements of trauma-informed approach to education that helps schools support students with negative experiences (including impacts of COVID and war). These pupils have a reduced opportunity to fulfil their educational potential and it is challenging for educators to support them in appropriate ways. Part of the bilateral project is mutual enrichment and transfer of experience.
