Erasmus + Trauma-Friendly Approach
The aim of the project is to bring together experts from two neighbouring countries working in the field of inclusive education with the aim of combining their jointly acquired knowledge from trauma-informed education in schools. The trauma-sensitive approach is based on complex work with children during the educational process and neuropsychological knowledge.
About the project
Safe environment in schools
- We raise awareness of how stress and challenging experiences affect our behaviour and ability to learn.
- We create informational materials and train professionals in a trauma-informed approach.
- We support children with trauma, disabilities, or new arrivals from Ukraine and help with inclusion and creating a safe classroom climate.
International cooperation
- We share our experience with experts from the Slovak organisation Inklucentrum, which provides information and methodological support for schools in the context of inclusion of children with diverse needs.
- Together we train professionals in a trauma-informed approach and carry out practical implementation of this approach in schools.
- We share experiences in detail and mutually contribute to the improvement of the work at national level.
